11:59 PM EST November 1st - End of the nomination process. No nominations will be accepted after this point.
11:59 PM EST November 5th - Any stories not seconded, or not accepted by this time, WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE AWARDS.
12:00 PM EST November 6th - Voting opens.
11:59 PM EST December 24th - Voting closes.
Christmas Day - Vote results go up.
Emails will be sent out tonight to any author who has not accepted, and another email will go out to any author who's story hasn't been seconded.

One story REMOVED from the awards by admin. The story nominated had nothing to do with Naruto. Therefore it does not belong in the awards. Please remember these are the Naruto Fanfiction Awards. Creating characters to further a plot is fine. An entire story, written only about your original characters, with no connection to canon Naruto, means that it's not suitable for these awards.
Just because you write a ninja story about a ninja academy, use the ninja rankings from Naruto-- including Hokage-- does not make it a Naruto fanfiction. Sorry, but that's better suited to having the ranks renamed and calling it an Original Story.

In a strange twist, AVALANCHE member, Yuffie Kisaragi hired the Turks to rescue her from the ghost inhabiting her house... and then Rude teased her for being scared of a cabinet without a latch. Come morning, Rude and Elena's mother, in one of her fits of "oh my god, they could be DEAD!" called and made them come home at 8am. Possibly because it was Canadian Thanksgiving, and (a) Rude had to work at 9:30 and (b) they had to go to grandma's for dinner that...afternoon. Because grandmum thinks dinner at three is a wonderful thing.
And yes, I feel recapping my night is a useful use of this webspace. Even if it has nothing to do with the NFA. Of course, I wouldn't be updating if I didn't have something for the NFA. In that case...

Why am I up at 6:45 am on a Sunday? Especially when I didn't get to bed until 1:30? Why, because Reno is moving, and my brother and I somehow wound up as the truck drivers. Never mind that we only own a (single) pick-up truck. And that he's going to have the mother of all hang-overs because he drank six yagers and a few pints of other stuff last night.
But, never mind that. Ya'll probably don't care why I'm going to be SUPAA GRUMPY today. You want to know why I'm updating the site at 6:45 am. We've had two nominations accepted since I went to bed. Okay, technically one was accepted before I went to bed, but dealing with the baby brother came first, ya know?

I get home from playing truck driver, and find my inbox full of emails. It makes me all warm and fuzzy~.

Finally got the bugs of the layout worked out. Yay me. Added all the people nominated since the 13th. My apologise if you nominated someone and the story is not here; I know there were three or four on my laptop before it was sent back to the manufacturer. Unfortunately, they were deleted along with the rest of my harddrive.
Also added a form for Accept/Reject, for those who don't feel like hitting the "reply" button and sending off a "yes, I accept!" email :)

*snickers* So, I'd just closed my editing programs, and was getting ready to play some more WoW ((hey, sick days are good for something other than coding!)) when I decided to check my email. And what d'ya know, there are two notices of acceptance. :)

This is a TEMPORARY LAYOUT. This is not the final layout for the 2006 Naruto Fanfiction Awards. I have a layout that I, personally, am working on. However, it is late, and I've spent three hours on it already. M'tired of it.

Well, in the past few weeks, there have been fourteen nominations, though so far only three authors have returned the email to respond to being nominated. A point was brought up to me, however, and when I get home from work tonight, I'll work on that. I'll also explain once it's up and running.

Nomination form is up! You can nominate any story written or updated since November 1st, 2005; I will be checking the dates on the stories, but other than that-- anything goes. You can nominate any story you'd like.
We're going to go back to the method I used the first year-- any nominated story must be seconded by another person before it can be considered up for vote on November 2nd.

August 16th, 2006 - Revamp
Nominations begin tomorrow, so I've been revamping the NFA website to allow for people to use their skin of choice. I'm also working on the poll page, which will actually be needed for tomorrow for the Banner Contest.
