Why did I decide to go through with the NFA? Well, back when I started TONFA, I had thought about doing an awards thing, but since it was a rec-site I doubted there were very many people who knew about TONFA and would therefore participate in the awards.

Then, a year later, I found that no one else has bothered to take up the idea and create any Naruto fanfiction awards-- at least, not as far as I could find. So I hauled out my old NFA ideas and started work on them. There are so many good Naruto fanfics out there that it would be criminal not to award them!

Now, two years later, we're heading into the third annual NFA, and here's to hoping there aren't any problems with vote rigging this year. Rules have been made stricter in this regards, but hopefully we won't have to go that far.
